Are you anxious about being anxious?


Anxieties … the day to day worries of your life. Is 'stress' getting worse and causing you ill health? Would you like to wake up each day and feel calm, relaxed and happy?

As an adult stress has increased further …

Work pressures, deadlines, finances, relationships, children and many other stresses surround you.

There is also the media … you see war on TV, violence and crime, global warming and numerous other stressful views … all in front of you on your very own TV.

All of these stresses since your childhood have programmed your mind to be more anxious. Each stress creates changes in your mind and body … if these stay for a period of time this change becomes permanent. Your mind and body are programmed by habit … if a stress lasts for 31 days as an adult … it is permanent. For a child you just need less time to make this habit occur.

So with all the stresses in your life … habit has allowed you to become anxious. Your mind is now primed to over-react to any stress … big or small.

The slow steady build up of stress over the years has created a change … and now the day to day pressures are causing stress also. You have being bombarded with stress and worry, which makes you more and more an anxious person.

Anxiety has become minor or severe, depending on how well you coped, your ability to reprogram your mind for the better, how tired you feel and many other factors that will determine the severities of your feelings of stress.

The minor stresses will create that buzz feeling that can help you drive to success.

The severe stresses will lead to panic attacks and other potentially serious issues.


What is that feeling … you call anxiety?

The symptoms of anxiety can be minor or severe.

Mild forms lead to the nervous tingling stomach, the little adrenalin rush and those excited feelings.

A Mild form can be a positive feeling as it helps you to ‘jump’ into various activities. You have that extra motivation and enthusiasm for life.

Severe symptoms can lead to panic attacks. This must be avoided. It is the severe forms that can become crippling.

Your job performance, enjoyment of life and ability to function in general will suffer. Severe anxieties are becoming more common as you have more and more stress.

The biggest cause of the rise in severe forms is not in the volume or severity of stress … it relates to your ability to cope.

As time pressures increase, deadlines approach and mental stresses generally increase at work and at home … the time left for you to create balance, to de-stress and relax is decreasing fast.

Worst of all, most of the techniques taught to release stress are time consuming, boring, complicated or take months to see any changes.
