The avian bird flu is now almost constant in the media today. Yet most of the information is technical, full of jargon, confusing or downright scary.

You are probably like me; you just want to know a few more facts about the bird flu. Just without all the jargon … no H5N1, sero-type this and that, pandemic or epidemic.

In these pages, all the information is jargon free and all you need to know. I have removed all the technical speak that relates to the avian bird flu. Simplified all the terms, facts and information into easily understood terms.

I work in the health arena and know all the technical jargon; it doesn’t help anyone to understand it more. It is no different to reading a legal document … remove all the technical stuff and you are left with a few lines of plain talking. Most medical literature is like trying to read Latin (mostly because it is written in Latin) … and who reads Latin nowadays anyway?

Most of the public, including you, get confused by all the technical stuff. I have removed it so you too, can understand what all the information is about.
