Coveralls These are suits that are disposable and protect you against any dry particle or aerosol. This therefore creates a barrier against the bird flu virus. Although they are lightweight, walking around in a suit such as this will be uncomfortable and very hot to stay in for too long. As to the necessity of wearing one … if the spread becomes this extreme, you would be better to just stay at home with plenty of supplies.
Gloves can be used if you are likely to come in contact with the bird flu virus on any surface. They tend to be puncture proof to a certain degree, so less likely to snag or abrade. Around the home these would be less necessary as the likelihood of the virus being on a surface at home is remote. Used more in the workplace if the bird flu is apparent.
A Nano (called micro-filter – small particles can’t enter) mask that comes has filters designed to help provide comfortable protection against viruses and bacteria. These are wipes with a disinfectant designed to help kill both bacteria and viruses. Used to either clean your hands or surfaces that may have come in contact with the bird flu. The disinfectant may cause skin dryness with use, so a moisturizer may be necessary for comfort.
Even though the various bird flu supplies have all the gear to prevent bird flu. Are they necessary? Like any virus, whether you breathe it in or not is not important. I am not going to say yes or no! You need to weigh up how much protection you have and how much you need. This is determined by how healthy you are, the likelihood of exposing your self to the bird flu, how much contact you have with potentially infection people, how much stress you are under or how high are your energy levels. You need to address your protection from two angles …
Best or cheapest? Don’t buy into the concept of ‘it is more expensive so it must be better’ crap. This is not necessarily true.
