Chronic Depression

Don’t worry … chronic is curable!

Do you think you have chronic depression? Are you worried that chronic means permanent? Don’t be confused, chronic is curable.

The term chronic, for most of you means permanent and severe. That you will lead a life of constant battle, trying to beat your depression.

I am about to make your day …

Having depression that is chronic, is just as easy to change as minor depression. Why?

The cause of chronic depression is the same as any depressed state, including minor depressive episodes.

Chronic depression is just a process of time. Because the cause of depression is habit (time), the longer you have had your depression the more chronic it is.

First … you need to know this!

Chronic depression is believed to be a less severe form of depression (I know for you it feels bad … don’t worry you are not alone in this feeling). It is just that the symptoms last longer. You may be able to perform your day to day tasks better than those suffering severe depression. But you are just generally unhappy … almost constantly.

Even with chronic depression, you can still have swings, as our body and mind change with the day to day stresses. Hence severe bouts of depression can still occur.

From an orthodox medical view, the causes of chronic depression are unknown. Links to your family history, brain chemistry or your stress environment are suggested. But like all types of depression, the cause is not physical, it is habitual.

Your brain chemistry changes because your mind and body change with the depressed state. Brain chemistry is a result of depression not a cause of it. The underlying cause is habit … habits can be similar in families, hence the family tendencies.

The big thing to remember is this …

The cause of your depression is not important … the cure is!

How do you know if you have Chronic Depression … do you have these?

The symptoms are not too different from depression in general, except symptoms may come and go.

Generally though, if you have any of the following, then there is a good chance you are suffering chronic depression. So look out for:

  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Loss of interest or the ability to enjoy oneself
  • Excessive feelings of guilt or worthlessness
  • Loss of energy or fatigue
  • Difficulty concentrating, thinking or making decisions
  • Changes in appetite
  • Observable mental and physical sluggishness
  • Thoughts of death or suicide

And …

There is no age restriction, as chronic depression can happen in anyone. By the nature of the term chronic, it is more likely in the latter teen years and adults.

The underlying cause of any type of depression is habit. Children therefore may have symptoms of depression, just at a lesser level.

Want to change Depression into … being happy!

Like I said before, the cause of your depression is not the big question. The cure of your depression is.

To eliminate the chronic nature of your depression requires you to change the cause. Trying to just eliminate the symptoms will ultimately lead to a reinforcement of the chronic nature of your depression.

Numerous studies and evidence shows that inconsistent therapy, or ineffectual treatment leads to chronic depression more often.

Medication, therapy and most natural alternatives tend to only deal with symptoms. They fail to address the underlying cause of your depression.

To change your chronicity, you need to use techniques in a chronic fashion. That is you need day to day use, whether you feel good or bad. It is the habitual use of techniques that eliminates your depression … it just takes time.

Don’t worry, time is just a measure. If you use techniques that don’t take huge amounts of time to do, are simple to apply, that can be done in the comfort of your own home, by your self …habitual use is easy.

Techniques that are simple and easy, proven, natural and ancient ...then your chronic depression can just disappear.

Eliminating your chronic depression means changing the habit. This is a task only you can do. Therapy is done by a practitioner, they do not change habits. Neither does medication or herbs. Habit is changed by doing techniques daily. Then and only then will your habits change.

At last … you can now eliminate those habits causing your depression
