The Calm Mind - a Meditation technique
A relaxation technique is not necessarily a meditation technique. Meditation is a word used commonly to describe a variety of techniques to create a relaxation effect.

There are many westernized meditation techniques in today’s stress market. All are good at creating relaxation … relaxation is good for you.
Western meditation technique is a process where:
- you listen to a soothing or calming music
- you breathe and relax your muscles
- you picture a relaxing scene in your mind
- you then relax and sit there for 30 minutes or more.
This is very effective at creating a relaxation effect. It is still best done at least 30 minutes in the morning and then again in the evening. Time that a lot of us don’t have. It is also difficult to do if you are tired as you tend to fall asleep, which is not the desired effect.
When you close your eyes, relax your muscles you go into an alpha brain wave state. Alpha is your dream state and certain techniques help you get there easily. The problem is if you are tired you tend to fall asleep.
If you can maintain alpha without falling asleep; you are able to access this level while awake. Alpha brain waves are great at accelerating learning, improving creativity and relaxing.
This type of meditation is great; there are also techniques you can learn to use this alpha state to create miraculous events in your life. It does take time, patience and practice. It will happen though.
