What are the benefits of meditating like a Monk?


Meditation is an art not a science. It has been used for centuries in both the East and West. Meditating is just after all a method to calm and still the mind.

In the East, Buddhist monks, Yogis and other Masters used meditating to access the levels of mind to use intuition. Intuition was used for guidance in their daily lives and to help those around them.

In the West, meditating was used in the form of prayer. Prayer is a matter of calming the mind and asking for guidance or a solution to our problems.


In today’s world, meditation has become confused. Although meditating itself hasn’t changed, the views of it have. It has been portrayed as being mystical, a part of the ‘new age’ culture. Where you can commune with nature or beings of a different galaxy.

Meditating has become popular, not because of these unusual views of it. It is popular today because research has shown it to be effective in many areas.
