Teen Stresses

Is your teenager creating you grief ... are stress levels sky rocketing?


Teen stresses ... is this the reason why your teenager doesn't talk to you? Are teenagers grumpy, moody and sullen on purpose? Or is there a simple understandable reason?

You see it more and more frequently today. Teenagers are tired, rundown and generally moody.

Teenage stresses are high because society has changed. Life today is more complicated, chaotic and busy. This is commonly seen as the various health issues for teenagers become worse.

If you look back 20, 30 or even 40 years, which seems like dinosaur times for teenagers. Life was completely different. No computers, very little television, no DVD's, computer games, play stations or x-boxes.

But if you look further you will see one huge difference...


Life was uncomplicated and calmer.

There was less information available for you. Children lived in their small locality. You couldn't find out information unless you went to a library or heard it on the news on radio or television.

There was no internet, most news was old news ... it wasn't 'live'. So life was very much centered around your home, your neighborhood, your town and possibly your city.

Today's teenagers can text, call or chat to anyone, anywhere around the world easily. Stress has become global...




Why does Stress Happen?

But look deeper again and you can see why there are more problems with teen stresses today...

Teenagers are now doing more brain activity than ever before.

Everything they do is stimulating the brain. The brain is now constantly active, through watching television, computers, cell phones, studying etc.

The brain is constantly working. Add in peer pressures, pressures of school, study and examination pressures, and then the brain is being overloaded.

As brain activity increases, energy decreases. The information in the brain requires energy to deal and cope with it. The brain is over stimulated more today with all the information, pressure, tension and thoughts in our heads.

This is why teen stresses are high, and why teenage fatigue is so common. High stress, low energy is a recipe for poor health and other teenager problems.





The youth today are our leaders of tomorrow...

Well, you want good leaders, who are high in energy, low in stress and healthy. The way the stresses are now, that won't happen. Teenage stresses are high and they must go down or their adult life will be even worse.

The causes of teen stresses are numerous. But no matter what the cause of teenage stresses are, reducing teen stresses is the key.

The key....... for their mental and physical health. If stress is low, the brain is calm and study improves.




What can You Do?

Removing teen stresses can be hard. Most teenagers are reluctant to do anything that may help them. They look at being 30 or 40 as millions of years away. They are quite content to do just as they are.

As a result, stress relief for teenagers needs to be simple, easy and mostly fun. It needs to be able to be done at home, or school or when they are with friends. Stress relief needs to work quickly and make them feel better physically, emotionally and energetically... But most of all teens need to feel good within themselves.

Teen stresses are best dealt with why they are still young. The habits you create in your early years, makes life when you are older... harder. Removing teenage stresses needs to be easy, effective and fast. Stress relief must improve their energy, reduce stress, increase health but also build self-confidence, self-esteem and self-worth.
